Let’s be honest: Botox is no longer taboo — it’s just smart prep. Especially when you’re about to be photographed more than you ever have in your life. But here’s the thing most brides don’t realize: Botox is not a last-minute fix.
At Eyes Lips Lace, we believe in helping our brides feel confident, calm, and completely radiant. And that means talking about the little enhancements that make a big difference — when they’re done right.
So if you’re planning on a little pre-wedding wrinkle-softening, lip flipping, or jawline refining… this one’s for you.
When Should You Get Botox Before Your Wedding?
The golden rule? 👉 At least 4–6 weeks before the big day.
Here’s why:
Botox takes up to 2 weeks to fully settle and reveal final results.
If you’re new to it, your injector may want to start conservatively, then do a follow-up touch-up at the 2-week mark.
This timing also gives you a safe window in case your body responds with temporary swelling, bruising, or slight asymmetry (yes, it happens — even with the best injectors).
And if you’re doing filler — like lips, cheeks, or under-eyes — give yourself even more time: 6–8 weeks minimum. Filler settles differently and can take longer for swelling to subside.
Don’t Wait Until the Month Of (Seriously)
We’ve had brides come in for their trial glowing… then show up on wedding day with tight, frozen expressions or bruised filler. It happens when treatments are done too close to the event.
This is your face. Your photos. Your forever. Give your body — and your injector — time to work their magic.
Lacey’s Take: “Makeup Is About Movement”
Makeup works best when it moves with your face. Lacey’s application style is designed to enhance your expressions, your smile, your joy.
Too much Botox — or Botox that hasn’t settled yet — can actually limit how your makeup wears. Foundation might sit oddly. Concealer may crease in frozen areas. You won’t get that effortless, natural glam we’re known for.
So if you’re considering it? Do it early. Talk to your injector. Let Lacey know at your trial. We’ll work together to keep your glow balanced, expressive, and photo-ready from first look to final dance.
